Lee Huat Cafe/Kopititam

On a beautiful Saturday morning,Celine a very dear friend of mine from Sarawak decided to meet for breakfast. Her choice for breakfast was an old coffee shop just around the corner where you turn into Lam Wah Ee hospital called " Kedai Kopi LEE HUAT "
The building that makes this hawker center is unique in the sense that you can imagine yourself dining here with possibly your great-grandfather.The quality of the food is as how it should be.Very original, very Penang. It retains it's authenticity to give you the feeling of how it was back in the days.

I got to say,she as a Sarawakian has tried more food than I do,but that's what meeting new people are for.You get to know new places, food, people, culture.I am yet to travel to her home town and try Sago worms..hmm maybe SugarManis may have it's first video of me eating Sago worms..hmmmmm..

Curry mee=RM2.70
Jawa Mee=RM2.70
Roti Kahwin+ egg= RM2.40
Seriously, not only is the building authentic,so are the prices(hehe)

SERVICE -7/20 for a hawker center, people are friendly and helpful.Celine didn't have change and they trusted her to come back and pay after we eat.
FOOD- 8/10

Lee Huat cafe

How old is this wall?

They even have an old school barber next to the coffee shop

Here's the entrance!

Sorry,Celine and I were chatting and starting eating before I snap the pics,Here's what left of it hehe,.The curry mee was good, the soup was not to jelak and it was not too salty.Just nice.It has everything you need in a curry mee!

Roti kahwin was crispy, the kaya with the butter was just nice. Not oozing out of the filling, and with each bite you feel the perfect thinly sandwiched kaya and butter

The half boil egg was not too runny neither too solid. The half boil egg was good for dipping in your toast!

Jawa mee was not too sour, the gravy had the right amount of peanuts, the keropok was crispy and thin, for the price they charge it had quite a bit of ingredients.

Celine!

I love the tress along the road.Great stroll before and after breakfast with the lushes trees. The coffee shop probably grew up together with the trees :)

HERE'S THE LOCATION:
ALONG JALAN MASJID NEGERI,YOU CAN TURN LEFT RIGHT AFTER ESSO PETROL STATION.IT'S EXACTLY THE CORNER WHERE YOU TURN.
