It is tradition that each time before my law examination paper I have a plate of bolognese. However sadly..it is so hard to get a nice tasting bolognese..I have tried various places and it often leave me feeling so empty and angry!
Anyways flufbanini took me hunting for pasta,as he said if I wanna get a plate of bolognese I may as well spent a little extra to get an awesome pasta(since I am often complacent with Secret Recipe bolognese, but it's pre-packed)
He was sweet enough to walk a very stressed up me to Paragon and visited a few restaurant. We ended up at Italiannies. All I can say,it was one of the best Italian food experiment I ever had..(coupled with the fact that I am very stressed and always disappointed with horrid bolognese)
Italiannies serves a basket of bread,on the table a bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.Pour both on a plate and dip the bread and when you put into your mouth....it's a whole new world.
Flufbanini ordered Lasagna(beef) while I of course had my fix of bolognese .
The spaghetti bolognese was really nice..the sauce wasn't too rich but it had the taste of herbs coupled with the beef.
Flufbanini's lasagna was out of the world, the bechamel sauce stacked with the beef sauce was just perfect. It was rich but the richness was balanced with the beef.I loved it.
Flufbanini enjoyed the bread the most, the waiter was shock at the rate he poured the balsamic vinegar and the senior staff thought that there was a mistake(I guess nobody really pours that much and thought that the other waiter made an error of balsamic estimation) and checked with us and we smiled, informing them that everything was fine.
The highlight of the night was when THE BILL arrived at our table.RM36.20..ha??
Well, the Manager gave us the bolognese as complimentary.WOW!!!!This was real a blessing!I guess my bolognese hunting and fulfbanini passion of balsamic vinegar really caught their attention ehehe
I would really recommend Italinnies, the waiters and the team running the place was really friendly and helpful.I would definitely visit this place again!
